One Armed Bandit - v1.1 - (C) 1993 Gerry Schechter
Thank you for downloading this file to evaluate my program!
One Armed Bandit is a PCBoard PPE which simulates the playing of a slot
machine (a.k.a One Armed Bandit). Here's how to install it.
1) Copy all of the files from the .ZIP into a directory.
2) Create an entry in your CMD.LST for ONE.PPE pointing to the directory.
To set the number of turns per day, put the number after the entry for
ONE.PPE in your CMD.LST. For example, to set the number of turns to 50 per
day, the CMD.LST would look like C:\PCB\PPL\ONE.PPE 50.
3) If you want the program to create a bulletin of high scores, modify the
sample ONE.BAT. If you do not want a bulletin created, delete ONE.BAT.
4) If you want the program to run like a door, modify the sample ONEDOOR
file then make the entries for running a Shell Door pointing to this file.
This program will create a file in the same directory as the .PPE called
ONE.DAT which is the file that keeps track of the players. It will also
create a file called ONE.BLT in that directory if you want a bulletin created.
Notes: This copy is an Unregistered Version. It is limited to 25 turns per
day, and up to 10 users can play. The registered version will allow you to
decide how many turns per day, and allow up to 100 users. Please support the
Shareware concept if you continue to use this .PPE for more than 30 days!
That's pretty much it. If you have any questions, comments, etc. on this
program, I can be reached on my BBS at (914) 964-0419 HST/DS 16.8.
